The key point of BIPV is how to achieve "integration", just from the perspective of architectural design, the "integration" is not good at home. And this is one of the reason for slowering evolution of BIPV. In this paper, integration design of public building with PV modules is the research object studied from both theoretical and practical. The study is necessary for promoting the development of BIPV and Photovoltaic Power Generation which is one kind of sustainable energy use patterns.In the chapterâ…¡of the article, it is the theoretical research about integration design of public building with PV modules. First of all, the characteristics of public building and photovoltaic are analyzed respectively. By this analysis, we get knowledge including:shape characteristics and electrical requirements of public building; the type, electrical properties and aesthetic characteristics of PV modules. And then, after analysising the merits and feasibility, the integration design of both is studied which is including:combined way of BIPV, principles and main points about integration design in aesthetics and practicality. With the perspective of architectural design, it is studied particularly about aesthetic features of PV modules, combined way and main points of integration design.Integrated design is researched by some projects in chapterâ…¢. At first, a number of projects are described that is about new PV buildings and existing buildings renovation with PV. It designs to display diversity of integrated design as much as possible, which could inspire architects' design inspiration. It also highlights synchronization of new projects design and considerations with existing building when it is renovated with PV. Then it is a PV building design that is including:pre-project research, architectural design, PV modules design and structural design. By this project, we also get something about work processes and related aided design software in pre-design work. Finally, it is a summary about the design processes.Last chapter are some improvable recommendations for the problems and develop resistance about BIPV after pointing those out.
