Coordinated control of multiple microsources in microgrid is one of the technical difficulties. There are two configurations in microgrid according to microsource connections:series and parallel. The trasient conversion process of grid-connected operation mode and isolated operation mode in microgrid, which have different configurations, is the key problem in research of the operation strategies.Microsources are classified by analyzing their own characteristics and work principle, as well as the simulation models of microsources are established in PSCAD/EMTDC, the equivalent single model of each microsource is also bulit for simulation verification. According to different microsource connections in microgrid, series configuration microgrid and parallel configuration microgrid are proposed, and the simulation models of them are built. The operation control strategies of the two typical configuration microgrid are put forward based on mainstream control methods of microsource. The operation control strategies are called microsource constant output control strategy and constant exchanging power control strategy separately. Moreover, the logical module of operation mode conversion is established. Transient process of various cases is simulated, and the results show that since different operation strategies have their own suitability in different configuration microgrid, the control strategy should be programmed according to the actual situation of microgrid. Furthermore, logic criterion of convertion between grid-connected mode and isolated mode is proved correct in PSCAD.Based on 863 national high-tech development project (2008AA05Z216) and third stage construction of 211 project, architecture of microgrid monitoring and control platform in laboratory is proposed. The basic functions of platform are designed in iFIX. The main functions of real-time monitoring and remote control breakers are realized. This work laid the foundation for applying the theory of grid-connected control to the microgrid laboratory.
