Chinese wind power generation has experience a rapid development in recent years, and the total wind power installed capacity has reached 44.3GW by 2010. It has fastest growing speed, largest scale, and also huge potential for future development than other styles of intermittent energy sources. For "Three North'areas of concentrated wind power development, new energy's dispatching problems are more prominent with its fast expansion. Currently, the grid lakes of enough peaking capacity and power transmission capacity, which are major constraints. However, we can maximize the utilization of wind power under power curtailment conditions by optimal wind power dispatching. The thesis studies on the basic theories of wind power, and analyses the power's control and output characteristics of wind turbine, which analysises the double-fed inductor generator's excellent decoupling control of power and its excellent reactive power output capability. By studying the characteristics of wind power output, the theory could provide decision-making for optimal dispatch in wind power generation. Then, the thesis studies the characteristics of wind power control and proposes the unit combine model that is based on the mixed integer programming and wind power distribution model by optimal power flow theory. Through combining the both models, this method achieves the optimal power distribution in wind farms. It could make the wind power output meet the scheduling requirements and also has the best economy. Then the models are validated by an example. The calculation results show that the total active and reactive power output of the wind farm match the request of dispatch center. And the total active loss and total reactive loss is the least. Finally, the thesis studies four algorithms of power curtailment among wind farms and established four different optimal scheduling models, which are suitable for different areas. The results of analyzing the relevant examples show that these algorithms are based on wind power prediction could optimize total output of wind power and decrees power loss. It also shows that wind power prediction is significant for the optimal dispatching of wind power. The thesis studies different levels of optimal scheduling models. These methods ensure security and stability of the grid. At the same time, they could improv the utilization of wind power and achieve the economic operation of wind farms...
