The feasibility of heavy haul railway transportation in our country has been proved in heavy haul railway such as Datong-Qinhuangdao railway and Shenmu-Shuozhou railway. People have done systematic research and analyze in line arrangement in stations, the quantity and effective length of lines and transportation organization mode in transportation. Some problems such as arrangement of existing technical stations, load and unload spot of heavy haul railway transportation, and choosing location of stations which combine and decompose combined trains occupy an important position in railway net of our country. With new heavy axle load vehicles keep on producing and operating, there will be a big effect to heavy haul line. In the future, after railway passenger line network completely built in our country, railway transport mode of existing line will change a lot. And the mode that mainly to the complete series-style heavy haul train will also be changed. New heavy axle load vehicle will be in motion on existing line. But, because of the heavy axle, there are new claims to the structure of marshalling station and the railway line, especially to the structure and technical performance of turnouts in throat.The transportation organization mode of heavy haul train must be improved based on transportation organization mode of freight train. So, faced to different kinds of the mode of heavy haul railway and the mode of heavy haul train, how to choose technical station pattern in reason, expend transportation capacity and increase transportation efficiency is one of the most important problem in railway transportation.Heavy haul train makes serious destroy to turnouts, especially when they pass turnouts laterally. It makes fastening bolt destroyed frequently, geometry of turnouts changed quickly, switch rail wear seriously and crossing damage increased, which makes the cycle of turnouts maintenance shortened but the frees increased. In this paper, we will do computer simulation that 23t and 25t axle load vehicles pass different types of turnouts, and prove the safety and stability. In other hand, there will be big effect of capacity between different types of turnouts. We will also do research on effect of capacity that different types of turnouts in throat makes. Through comparison and analyze, propose suggestion of choosing type of turnouts in throat in technical stations for both single line railway and double line railway. Choose appropriate size of turnouts, in condition of satisfied to transportation capacity, gain most economic benefits, and develop new turnouts, or strengthen existing turnouts, and prolong the useful life of turnouts, which is another important problem which is waiting to be solved in railway transportation.
