Determination for the capacity of the railway station is prerequisite and foundation for effective operation of the station. It has a very important role in production of scientific organizations, proper coordination of the technical work stations and personnel deployment, efficient operation of resource scheduling technology equipment. The original calculation method has great limitation for the capacity of heavy-haul technology railway station and can’t meet the requirements, there is no more perfect calculation method for the capacity of heavy-haul railway station currently. This article focuses on the capacity of up-and-down lines, and in-depth analysis of the operating characteristics of the heavy-haul railway station, the steps of the determination of technology station, the improvement of calculation method of the up-and-down lines, the determination of occupancy time standard, the calculation of leisure coefficient and the calculation of additional capacity.Firstly, this paper summarizes the characteristics of heavy-haul transport and heavy-haul train organization, and deeply analysis the particularity of the technology heavy-haul railway station, including the station features, the train operating characteristics in the station, the station capacity factors, introducing the general methods and procedures of technical station.Improving on the formula method to conform with the heavy-haul railway station.The article proposes the concept and cause of "air time", analysis the distribution of occupancy time of trains by SPSS, using Bootstrap interval estimation method to get the confidence intervals of occupancy time.For the calculation of leisure coefficient, the paper introduce "the grey multiple attribute decision marking method", quantitatively analysis the influence factors, turn the leisure coefficient into the interval discrete set of points. The problem is transformed into the optimal decision problem objectives of the program under gray multi-attribute condition. It is accurate and applicable.The paper introduce the concept of "additional capacity" and the possibility it is implemented, and build the calculation model of additional capacity, and solve it by a half-simulation method which has been improved to have certain research value by an example.
