Planning is greatly significant to guide the construction and transformation of rural power network. Similarly,it is key to ensure the smooth development of rural power network.High quality of rural power network planning is inseparable from the advanced planning theory, methods, facilitate practical planning and design tools.Main topics of this subject as following.(1) Study of rural power network planning methods and theories.Study includes substation site optimization,network optimization,power flow and short-circuit calculation,reactive power optimization,line-loss calculation.It provide a basic theory and efficient algorithms to planners.(2) Development of rural power network planning computer-aided design software.The software provide a graphical,interactive rural network planning and designing platform to support the planning staff to build planned power grid,set the reconstruction project.It also can be calculated and statistics.The software is graphical powerful and easy to use.By the software,it is integral as a whole that planning theory,a variety of algorithms,planning network diagram editing and drawing,the statistics data and the various report forms of planning facilities in order that planners only in the platform complete the rural network planning and design in its entirety.In this paper,mathematical models and algorithms have been studied:(1) It set a bi-level optimization mathematical model of a multi-substation location problem.The inside arithmetic is for the network optimization of determined location substation,using the minimum cost maximum flow algorithm.The outside arithmetic is for the location substation coordinate optimization of nonlinear programming problems,using step long acceleration method to solve.(2) It set mathematical model of a distribution network optimized network flow programming,using the minimum cost maximum flow algorithm.The constraints consider the transmission power constraint,substation capacity constraint,the load demand constraints and so on.(3) It study a bi-level optimization mathematical model of distribution line shunt capacitor installation location and capacity.Among them,the inside arithmetic is for the optimization of capacity compensation point position of defined circumstances,using a necessary condition for extremum of the problem to transform into a linear equation system.The inside arithmetic is for the optimization of the combinatorial problems of determined compensation point,using full enumeration combination method to solve in possible alternative point.The topics based on microsoft visio as a platform and studied planning theories and algorithms as the core,has developed a rural power network planning and design software with graphics rendering and editing, optimizing the calculation, all kinds of electrical calculation.Electrical calculation softwares are all visual and its graphics function is powerful.The research model,algorithm and developed software system has been used in some rural power network in henan province eleventh five-year plan design and a new power grid rural electrification planning to achieve good results.
