propulsion, while the S.S.S. clutch (two kinds of relay-type S.S.S. clutch and non-relay-type S.S.S. clutch included) is one of the key equipment of the Combined Power Plant, which has the trait of auto-synchronized meshing and release, and that can automatically access to more than one engine to improve the ship's maneuverability. So it is the necessary conditions of in-depth study of Combined Power-plant that simulation of the S.S.S. clutch's dynamics and simulation of the S.S.S. clutch's mathematical modeling must have been done first.In this paper,the software of SolidWorks/cosmosmotion has been used to do study of the SSS clutch's simulation. In the process of modeling,the basic theory of three-dimensional modeling has been applied to make the digital prototyping of the SSS clutch, among above, the model of helical gears,spur gears,bevel gear have used the method of the second exploitation of three-dimensional modeling to simplify the complexity of the shape of the gear. According to multi-body dynamics theory, mechanical analysis has been carried out on the S.S.S. clutch to make the dynamic model, offering a theoretical basis for SSS Clutch for the dynamic simulation. According to the dynamic model of each module built, the dynamic simulation model of the S.S.S clutch has been formed.On this basis, dynamic simulation modules of different damping force and damping stroke have been chosen to form the complete simulation model of the SSS clutch.the dynamic simulation of non-relay-type SSS clutch has been carried out under different input conditions, and that has got all key parameters in responses which verify the validity of the dynamic simulation of the SSS Clutch; the dynamic simulation of the relay-type SSS Clutch for different damping stroke,damping hole size and different input conditions have also been carried out, and that have got the suitable damping stroke,the velocity of the engagement and disengagement,the law of the motion of the relay-type SSS Clutch, and that has got all key parameters of the relay-type SSS clutch in responses.
