Research On The Morphology And Exterior Space Of Beijing Olympic Venues

In the city life nowadays, exterior space of the public buildings becomes the main space in the city to carry on different social interaction, which is very important to people live in the city. Even, in some ways, it can be said that the design of exterior space design is more important than the building itself.The first chapter of this article is the abstract part. In the second chapter, at first, the correlative theories were introduced including "the exterior space" with emphasis as well as "open space". The theories of exterior space mainly base on the work "Design of Exterior space" written by Yoshinobu Ashihara. Then, it introduces the correlative theories of the "open space", which base on Norborg Schultz's theory of "the place spirit". In the third chapter, basing on the theories introduced before, it introduces several characteristics of the architecture morphology, which including the material performance, the structure performance, the ecology idea and the region culture and soon several directions. At last, it briefly illustrates the sports architecture design appraisal system, before which it illustrates the relationship between sports architecture morphology and the urban space. In the fourth chapter, basing on all the theories above, it makes a analysis on the exterior space, the open space and the morphology of the sports buildings which I did research on, including The National Stadium, The National Aquatic Centre and The Gymnasium of the Beijing University of Science and Technology. Then it gives them the appraisal. Finally, in the fifth chapter, it carries on the induction from the different angle to the sports architecture shape and exterior morphology design method to deduce, simultaneously briefed its trend of development briefly.First, the analytical study objects of this article are completely built during the Beijing Olympic Games construction period, and all the pictures of the sports buildings analyzed are by the writer himself, which is a better way to do the analysis than the way only get the pictures and the information from the book or the internet. In this way, it makes more sense. Second, this article have carried on the scene investigation and study personally, from on-the-spot record, the picture as well as from drew the analysis chart and so on many angles, replaces was formerly pure on the blueprint the analysis, had a bigger practical significance. Next, this article by no means pure utilization exterior space or sports architecture theory, but while introduced that the above several kind of theories has introduced the urban planning and the city layout theory, and will apply in the object which will study. Thus, to studies the analysis the sports architecture and the exterior space field of vision may progressive from the entire urban stratification plane to construct in own microenvironment, this is also emphasizes the urban environment relations now to the architectural design in one kind of response.
