| According to statistics from related departments, about 10 billion tons of ballast water, which may cause serious environmental pollution, is transferred all over the world every year. In order to efficiently solve the serious ecological pollution which has been caused by ship's ballast water,domestic and foreign scholars have put forth new design concept of NOBS (Non-Ballast Water Ship).By "V-shape hull NOBS" it means NOBS can meet the demands of the navigation performance in the condition of no or only a small amount of ballast water. There are three kinds of NOBS design projects:V-Shape Hull design, Through-Flow System Hull design and Monornaran Hull design.This paper focuses on V-Shape Hull Non-Ballast Water Ship and its structure characteristics are researched. The purpose of this paper is to make a contrastive study on the differences of structure characteristics between parent ship and NOBS.First, based on the hull form's changing method, which keeps the area of the mid-ship section equal to the parent ship,a new ship which has a wider breath and a V-Shape at the bottom is attained. This new method not only can ensure that the new ship has enough draft to meet the demands of the navigation performance in light ship condition, but also obviously enhance the stability of the ship.Second, based on the hull form's design method, parent ship's and V-Shape Hull Non-Ballast Water Ship's minimum modulus of section are verified, and some parameters of both mid-ship section are compared, the reason of parameter change is analyzed as well.Then, referred to the JTP rules and CCS rules,the new design concept NOBS is tested, including comparison of the ultimate strength of hull girder and structure strength.At last, as per the above analysis, the.advantage and disadvantage of NOBS are reviewed respectively, the amendments of NOBS are proposed and references are given to the special rules for NOBS. |
