A new integrated technology for harmonics and reactive power was presented in this paper, which combined the Active Power Filter(APF) with SVC.This paper described the problems of reactive power and harmonics in current power grid, and several approaches to this common things, then a brief analysis was performeds for them; then the relatively mature reactive power theory has been investigated deeply, the reactive power detection, TCR reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression were analysed to determine the method of the pulse triggering angle calculation; Dynamic reactive power compensation were processed by the TCR, harmonic was restrained mainly by the LC filter and the active filter was to improve the characteristics of the LC filter, and overcome the shortcomings of the acceptor resonance. and then make a overall structure of the compensation device,which consisted of various modules, and their functions as well as the modules and Schematic diagram of the design ideas, were discussed in detail. On the basis of the above-mentioned design, a control algorithm was proposed for suppressing the transient firing angle, meanwhile, fuzzy control and PI control were effectively combined to maintain the firing angle when system is powered on at the initial stage and disturbanced, which can improve the whole system performance greatly. Finally, using PSCAD power system simulation software and MATLAB data analysis and processing functions, the test current and voltage signals were analysed on the TMS320F2812 experimental platform, and relevant conclusions were obtained when DSP is running for analysis and verification.Experiments showed that the algorithm was able to meet the requirements of power system, such as real-time, accuracy, etc.. Concerned peripheral hardware circuits can work expected performance and stability, and can be basically meeted. Through exploration and research on this topic, some good results have been obtained, and a valuable reference for subsequent design works can be provided.
