The integrated automation system of the substation is developing rapidly on the basis of the computer and internet communications technology and its products are undergoing continuous upgrading and positioning in recent years in China. As we can see from the practice, the integrated automation has brought about a series of automatic technology reforms in fields of substation design, installation, debugging, operation, maintenance, management and so forth. This paper analyses functions and development trends of the integrated automation, based on the whole designing process of a 110 kV substation for a specific unit. Through structural analysis of the substation system, the writer, keeping in mind the automation designing principles, designs a plan which contains the equipment protection and monitoring, the design of telemechanique and computer monitoring system, communications system and so on. Furthermore, the background system structure is built up in the paper and hardwares as well as softwares of the equipment are reasonably chosen in this paper. Among the high-up dispatching, the substation layer and the space layer, the goal of'straigt forward to the bottom via net'can be realized through the Ethernet connection from the central computer of the substation layer to the sensor network. Finally, the writer studies on the reliability of the substation integrated automation system and puts forward several countermeasures against the anti-electromagnetic interference in the substation. The integrated automation system designed in this paper not only satisfies the requirements of high controlling accuracy, rapid responding, reliable data transmission, high expandability and easy maintenance, but also possesses high-end technology.
