The research of seepage deformation and seepage failure has been important theoretical significance and project application value in the earth dam research. In our country, many small and medium-sized earth rock-fill dams were constructed in 1950's or 1960's and the technology and economy were both want seriously in that time. All sorts of problems have appeared in working for many years, and problems about seepage are very serious, such as slippage, penetrating destroy, so it is necessary to analyze seepage in earth dams feasibly and correctly. The thesis has to evolve seepage analysis on the homogeneous earth dam with the reason. And this thesis describes the seepage of basic theory, basic equations and the present development; Application of two-dimensional finite element seepage were analyzed to select interpolation function & variational principle and solved, after a series of mathematical deduction, the establishment of the finite element method for solving seepage; the features of the homogeneous earth dam in Deshenghe Drainage Basin were summarized, and the homogeneous earth dam for a more reasonable flow proposed strengthening measures;With an example, using Auto Bank and HH-slope software, Xiongguantang Reservoir dam seepage in the stability of different conditions were calculated,Analysis of the Xiongguantang Reservoir dam occurred seepage are what form, calculated under different conditions of dam seepage saturation line, seepage quantity, seepage gradient and sliding surface;Measures taken to cut off seepage on the dam before and after measures for seepage and structural stability were compared,the calculation showes that Backfill Clay Impervious Wall in Xiongguantang Reservoir dam reinforcement achieved good results, for the seepage reinforcement of the homogeneous earth dam in Deshenghe Drainage Basin provides a basis and reference.
