The rapid development of micro electro mechanical engineering, optics and photonics engineering, precision engineering, biomedical engineering and other fields urgently need the micro-enforcement agency which can micro-operation in the space of sub-millimeter, micron-level. microgripper is the important executing agency of the micro-enforcement agency,which can be used to complete gripping, moving and assembling the small object etc, and has an important role in micro-assembly, micro-manipulation. The current microgripper have certain problems in the gripping range, clamping force, response speed, precision control.In order to overcome the shortcomings of the present microgripper, In this paper, a kind of giant magnetostrictive material (GMM) as the driving source of the new micro-gripper for a systematic study. A new type of microgripper is made by thread cutting with the flexible body of a good 65Mn plate, clamping body structure is simple, using leveraged institutions to zoom in on the output displacement. In addition, the traditional hinge is insteaded of the flexible hinge, the flexible hinge is easy manufacturing, non-clearance and friction, lubrication and wear from, good stability, and can improve motion accuracy and service life. Thesis of the giant magnetostrictive driven microgripper performance test results show that the new micro-gripper with gripping range, fast response, high output accuracy, the advantages of easy to control clamping force. The paper also carried out on the circuit design calculation, using ANSYS software to drive the magnetic field of the finite element analysis. and the dynamic performance of the microgripper the strength and stress analysis.
