With the development of economy and people's consumption level in our country, the architectural decoration of the ground is becoming more and more diverse. However, subsequent issues of floor slip resistance are also becoming increasingly prominent, which have been considered as one of the serious public hazard. Therefore, it is necessary to further study the testing and evaluation technique of floor slip resistance and put them to effective use in practice.Based on the field measurements, the paper mainly includes the following contents:1. Field measurements were carried out in a college campus to investigate the SCOF and DCOF under dry and wet floor conditions. The influences of immersion time in water, different directions in measurement, different measurement locations, ambient temperature and mechanical abrasion of rubber were considered. A regression analysis of all the experimental data was performed to explore how static and dynamic COF values might correlate on the same and various floors respectively. The results showed that:1) The influence of immersion time in water on the floor coefficient was not obvious, but it was suggested that the experiment should not begin until immersion time in water reached 10 minutes.2) It is unnecessary to consider the differences of the friction coefficient in the two directions for the smooth floors. On the contrary, it is required to take it into account for the floors with obvious texture on the surface.3) The coefficients of different measurement locations were sometimes quite different, so the choice of measurement locations and the number of tiles need to further study.4) Temperature also had relatively obvious effect on the test results, so there is a need for further research. 5) A new rubber pad, which has not been used before, should be rubbed on the ground for 5-10 times when it is used. The mechanical abrasion of rubber pad can not be ignored when it has been used for many times.6) The static and dynamic COF on the same ground showed relatively good correlation under dry and wet conditions; linear correlation was relatively good under dry conditions, relatively poor under wet conditions.7) In some cases, the COF values under wet floor conditions might be greater than the ones under dry floor conditions2. The testing and evaluation technique of building floor slip resistance was preliminarily formulated.3. A kind of purely mechanical slip resistance tester for ground floor was designed.
