| Bus Rapid Transit system operation and scheduling are the key of service quality, only when BRT provides convenient, efficient and comfortable rapid transit services, it is possible to enhance its competitiveness and attract more trips transfer to public transport services. Therefore, on the topic of "Study on Optimization and Simulation Evaluation of Combinational Scheduling for Bus Rapid Transit System", the Bus Rapid Transit scheduling will be optimized based on the total cost of passengers and BRT operators, so as to raise the Bus Rapid Transit system efficiency.This thesis started from the basic principles and requirements of Bus Rapid Transit system scheduling. In this dissertation, differences between BRT and traditional bus are considered, based on the traditional bus operation and scheduling optimizing. The current bus scheduling situation is analyzed and the existing problems are summed leading to the meaning and purpose of the study. According to the technology, operation and passenger flow characteristics, proposed the combinations form of regular scheduling, shuttle bus scheduling and expressing scheduling. The cost of BRT combinational scheduling is analyzed based on the characteristics and determining methods of three different scheduling strategies. Then BRT scheduling optimization model was established by setting passengers'travel costs and operating costs as the target, and design Hybrid Genetic Algorithm based on Tabu Search Algorithm to solve the model, at last using MATLAB genetic algorithm toolbox develop the algorithm program. Finally, select Chaoyang Road BRT line No.2 to do the case analysis, and evaluate the optimized effect of the combination scheduling by carrying out BRT operation and scheduling simulation. The results show that BRT combinational scheduling can effectively reduce the total cost of the system and improve the efficiency of BRT operations. The optimization results are significant with a great practical value. |
