In recent years,the urban traffic congestion has become more and more serious.It has become a choice to improve urban traffic congestion by developing bus rapid transit(BRT).BRT has large capacity,high load and low pollution.And it can greatly improve the traffic situation within the coverage area.However,if BRT doesn't have coordination with the surrounding connecting lines,the passengers need to spend a lot of time in the transfer process.This paper studies the cooperative scheduling method of BRT and its connecting lines from both static scheduling and dynamic scheduling.Those methods improve the efficiency of bus operation,and increase the attractiveness of bus travel to passengers.This paper establishes a static cooperative scheduling scheme for BRT and its connecting lines.The timetable is optimized by setting the time control point and slack time for BRT.Based on the consideration to both large capacity and little variance of travel time between the time control station,this paper comes up with a new method of choosing suitable time control points.And it determines the appropriate relaxation time and bus static timetable by being combined with the historical travel data of the bus.In order to realize the coordination between the bus line and the rapid transit,this paper considers the cost of bus operation and the convenience of transfer.Aiming at minimizing the total cost,a static timetable solution model for connecting buses was established.Then,this paper establishes a dynamic collaborative scheduling scheme for BRT and its connecting lines.In actual situation,buses are often interfered by other random factors,which makes that the actual situation of buses are different from the static scheduling schemes.Therefore,this paper proposes a BRT dynamic scheduling method that combining signal control and station holding.The rapid transit dynamic dispatching method ensures the stability of the bus headway by controlling the running state.Each bus station is used as a decision point to predict the bus running condition between the two stations.The reliability of the bus headway and the delay of the vehicles in the intersection are used as the optimization goals.And using genetic algorithm to solve the model.Bus Rapid Transit has a large passenger flow and high stability.Therefore,the dynamic coordination of the two lines is realized by connecting the bus lines at the transfer station.The dynamic scheduling of connecting lines is mainly determined by the waiting cost of transfer passengers and non-transfer passengers.The analysis of the static dispatching scheme was carried out based on the bus data of Suzhou 4th bus and 9th bus.The static timetables of the 4th and 9th bus were optimized.According to the experiments,the travel time of 4th bus is improved by 8% and the on-time rate of the station increased by 20.3%;the total cost of the bus system decreased by 3.3% during the time period.The dynamic collaborative scheduling method of the connection line reduces the bus operation cost and the transfer time of the passenger,so that 15.7% of the exchange passengers of the BRT can directly transfer.
