At The Aspect Of Successes And Failures Of Conservation From The Present Conditions Of Yongchang Historic City

From the aspect of the conservation history of the historic city, the conservation methods for the historic cities home and abroad have experienced from individual and group to entirety(including substance, spirit, culture, ecology), from the conservation for the splendid individuals of cultural relics and historic sites to the conservation for the general buildings and the historic construction environment, then it came to the conservation for the historic streets, towns, villages, and the shift from the substantial entities to the unsubstantial entities, like the traditional cultures and other extensive fields.China started the research and practice in 1982 when the first list of the historic cities was announced. Up to now, there is a well-developed conservation system for the three, the historic relics, historic cultures and the historic cities. There is a coexistence of the emphasis and the destruction for the conservation of the historic cities. With the shifting of the notions in recent years of the 21st century, there is a huge crisis for the conservation of the historic cities and also the big chance to the further development for those cities.There are many historic cities in Yunnan Province, each with a different feature. The conservation for Baoshan City, which is a provincial famous historic city with a long history, was started very early. But the effects are not abvious due to the inside quality of the city planning and the self-developing conditions.Based on the conservation effects of the Historic City of Baoshan and the successes and the fairlures of The Conservation Planning of Baoshan Historic City(1995 edition), this thesis gives the details about the current conservation status of Baoshan Historic City and other relative thinkings about the conservation planning and other factors which will affect the city conservations.The thesis including 5 main chapters:Chapter 1 expounds the research background, the meaning, methods and ways of thinking on which the thesis is based.
