For recent decades, environment pollution and wasting of resources from glass cullet has caused a great consideration of the whole society. It is necessary to find a proper method to recycle the glass cullet. It can improve the economy benefit of the society and enterprises and can also take a role in the environment conservation. It will do a great job in saving the raw material, decreasing the energy consumption and protecting the environment especially in the time energy shortage time. Glass concrete has a great promotion as a new material in civil engineering. On one hand it can protect the environment; on the other hand, it can help develop a new kind of concrete, which can also bring benefit to the economy, society and environment.Glass concrete is a new material of concrete which mix the glass cullet in the concrete. In this paper we replace the aggregate with the glass cullet in the research of glass concrete and take a great amount of experiments in the study of compressive strength. It mainly contains the relationship between the quantity of mixing glass and the compressive strength, the best mix range of the glass when there is no other mixture and the relationship between the curing time and the quantity of mixing glass. It also contains the impact that the mixing of the glass and the fly ash takes to the mechanical property and the mixing of the glass and the fly ash takes to the mechanical property. It can provide reliable parameters for the construction use. The analysis of the durability is mentioned too and some results are proposed.(1)Concrete mixture with glass aggregate has good water retention and no bleeding. The fluidity and collapsed slump of concrete mixture is also improved with the increase of mixing amount of glass aggregate. The collapsed slump of stone concrete substituted by glass is higher than that of sand concrete substituted by glass.(2)The cubic compressive strength has no obvious change after part of sand in the concrete mixture is substituted by glass, but with the improvement of mixing amount of glass, cubic compressive strength is inclined to decline. And when mixing amount changes between 0 and 40 percent, the cubic compressive strength of concrete mixture with glass aggregate and common concrete has no significant difference.(3)The cubic compressive strength has obvious change after part of stone in the concrete mixture is substituted by glass, but with the increase of mixing amount of glass, cubic compressive strength is preferred to decrease. And when mixing amount changes between 0 and 20 percent, the cubic compressive strength of concrete mixture with glass aggregate and common concrete has no obvious difference. when mixing amount exceeds 60 percent, the cubic compressive strength has a apparent decline.(4)The cubic compressive strength increases with the extension of curing period, and the growth range of stone concrete substituted by glass is higher than that of sand concrete substituted by glass.(5)No matter stone concrete substituted by glass or sand concrete substituted by glass, the compressive strength of concrete mixed with slag powder and glass is higher than that of concrete mixed with fly ash and glass. And no matter concrete mixed with slag powder and glass or concrete mixed with fly ash and glass, the 28-day strength of them is lower than that of concrete mixture with glass singly.(6)When solution concentration of Na2SO4 and NaCl changes from 0 to 15 percent, the strength of above concrete mixture with glass aggregate first raises and then drops, and the corrosion coefficient of them is higher than that of common concrete.(7)After freezing and thawing action, the mass and compressive strength of concrete mixture with glass aggregate have different degrees of loss, and the loss level of which are all lower than that of common concrete.
