This paper, utilizing the theory and method of engineering geology, hydrological geology and tasseled engineering and applying seamless engineering geology modeling system, firstly built 3D Engineering Geological Model in the macro area and core area of Jinan Urban Mass Transit construction area through the present available drilling data and geological profile information. This model objectively and truly reflected stratum structure and the main geological structures of the research area, offered effective basis for the forming causes argument of the four main fountain groups and made an accurate simulation of the connecting relation between limestone and magmatite within the research area. And then this paper drafted the engineering geological division figure of magmatite, limestone and Quaternary Strata within the research area according to Shallow depth of 50 meters by the strata in combination . This area was divided into 5 sub-areas, which offered certain geological reference for the line planning of Jinan urban rail transit construction. After that, on the basis of building 3D Engineering Geological Model, this paper introduced Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and selected 14 suitability influencing factors of engineering geology in this area, constructed corresponding 3-level judgment matrix, calculated and made sure the weights of all influencing factors, and made engineering geological suitability partition on Jinan Urban Mass Transit construction area by GIS. Through the comprehensive evaluation of the partition results, this paper would be supposed to offer certain geological guidance for line planning, security construction and safe operation of Urban Mass Transit.
