With the development of highway construction in China, road traffic has caused a tremendous impact on the land resources, and gradually attracted people's attention. Meanwhile a new round of the implementation of land-use planning has been launched nationwide. The planning involved the design of the road which are new, reconstructed, and expanded, and the layout of the land along the roadside. So the implementation of the planning will promote the development of road construction. Studying the function of the road on landscape, and putting forward timely and reasonable proposals of the layout will be of certain significance to the implementation of the planning.The CA model and MARKOV model have great advantages in research on land use changes. Combined with CA which can simulate complex system with spatial and temporal characteristics and MARKOV which is good at predicting, CA-MARKOV model can simulate land use changes in number and space ideally. This paper, taking Yongqing county in plain area of Hebei province as an example, studies the impact of the road construction on landscape, simulates and forecasts the land use pattern through the CA-MARKOV module of IDRISI15.0 software and by the GIS technology, and finally puts forward the rational proposals to the land-use planning.This paper, using the urbanization index, takes 100m as buffer unit of the road of different levels constructed in different years, finds the roads'active scope to landscape by the buffer analysis, and then defines the research area. By classifying landscape and calculating patch number, mine patch area and aggregation index in the active area of different roads, the function of the road on landscape is analyzed. Then a CA-MARKOV model is established, validated and corrected by taking Langzhuo road as the research object, using IDRISI to analyze the changes of land use in the active areas from 2004 to 2009 and studying the transition rules and calculating the data in the planning. The model is used to predict the landscape pattern in 2020. By comparing the predict result, the land use maps in 2009 and the planning result in 2020, the conclusions are proposed. This paper also takes some advice on the optimization of land use pattern alongside the road, combining with the new round implementation of land using planning which is going on.This paper finds that the new round of land-use planning of Yongqing county is actual and practical. Based on the simulation results of CA model, recommendations are following: The layout of new constructions should avoid the use of the cultivated land; increases or adjustments of the construction land should try to consider using the land of the west side in North Cao village and the south side of Langzhuo road; the layout of cultivated land and garden land should be more intensive.
