The Research On The Form Design Of Household Appliances

The household appliance is related to people's lives, closely, and the form of it is improving gradually with the development of technology and the human design. The good household appliances will not only give the consumers nice visual experience, but also reflect the capacities with human in substance transformation and values at the different eras.It is based on the philosophy, cognitive psychology, product semantics and other multi-angle disciplines to deeply analyze the form of household appliances design. First, it is summarized the form of household appliances, and pointed out the developing trend about it, by analyzing the classification and evolution of the form. After that, it is analyzed the household appliances, that how to convey the morphology semantic, comprehensively, and then summed up the principles in expressing the morphology semantics, in order to give it a better guide in designing the products form of household appliances, so that the usage and information of the product could be conveyed to the consumers, accurately. With the changing of consumers attitudes, they began to pursue a form of spiritual value of household electrical appliances, so it focuses on the problems of the value about household electrical appliances shape design tend, namely, the sentimental value tend and the experience value tend. It is summed up the principles of household appliances shape design from the analysis in three aspects, the concepts about emotional value and experience value, background and expression. Finally, it took the findings in to the design practice.The purpose of this is not only to describe the form design principles, but also to make it clear that the essence of household electrical appliances design is comprehensive the materials and the nature of the human spirit. Through the analysis of materials composition of household appliances, to convey the intangible components in the household appliances form design, to express people's higher pursuit levels of emotional value and experience value, to offer the meaningful reference in enhancing the value of home appliances form design, meanwhile it will also has a corresponding reference value for other types of products design.
