In the past two decades, as a new efficient and environmental lifting technique, the application of PC pump oil production system has expanded rapidly in the worldwide. The core of PC pump system is the composition of rubber stator and metal rotor, among which the stator rubber liner is especially important. The efficiency and longevity will be directly restricted by wear behavior of rubber stator. On the other hand, the factor of rotor speed in oil production system is crucial. At present, through rotor speed the pump adjusting can be realized. But the relationship between rotor speed and stator rubber wear was seldom-reported. How to accurate characterization and know clearly stator wear mechanism, are becoming difficult problems troubled production engineers. And this will provide theory for optimizing the speed, improving economic benefit and service life.In this paper, the research background of PCP, subjects significance and the innovation robustly are mainly introduced. On this basis the working principle of PCP is briefly introduced. Two kinds of rubber wear are displayed by MPV-600 tester. Rubber stator wear phenomenon and wear mechanisms are analyzed. Finally, using neural network algorithm this paper optimizes the rotor speed. The results of this study indicate that contact force, hydraulic pressure, friction and inertial force mainly influence PCP. Among them, the axial load of rotor and operating torque can be obtained through measurement, but the stress of the stator can be obtained according to calculation. With no impact on delivery capacity, pump rotation speed should be lower. In dry friction condition, FPM wear-resisting performance is overall better than NBR, in addition to low load. Under crude oil medium conditions, wear-resisting performance of FPM and NBR are closer in a certain period. Neural network results indicates that when speed is not too high and load is not too heavy, NBR is better suited for PCP stator.
