| With the development of urbanization in China, nowadays, great progress has made in Chinese big cities. The scale of the cities is expanding constantly. The land-use structure and the urban spatial conformation of the cities also change dramatically. However, many problems have emerged during the course of city expansion, especially the uncoordinated development between urban internal spatial structure and urban traffic confused many cities. Urban traffic congestion has become one of the obstacles to achieve sustainable development, and we can not solve the problem completely only in the urban traffic view, it is necessary to coordinate urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure to solve the problem.This paper is a demonstration research on the mutual relationship between urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure. The paper takes Xi'an city as the case and puts the research in to the period from1949 to2009. Firstly, the paper researches the dynamic evolvement of urban internal spatial structure and urban traffic. Secondly, after synthesized research, the paper discusses the law of the mutual relationship between urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure and the aspects of the relationship which can't fit the city goal of sustainable development. At last, the paper analyzes the optimized orientation of urban traffic and urban spatial structure and puts forward the main strategies and suggestions which arm to realize the mutual optimizing of them.Based on the interactive and feed backing relation between urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure, and in accordance with the order as follows:first puts forward the subject, then finds out the problems, and solves the problems at last, the full paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter one introduces the background and significance of the paper, then summarizes theories on mutual relationship between urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure both in China and abroad, and last introduces the range,contents methods and so on of the paper; Chapter two analyzes the historical evolution of urban internal spatial structure and urban traffic of Xi'an City; Chapter three probes into effect and influencing mechanism between urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure of Xi'an through theoretical analysis and empirical research. Firstly, it probes into effect and influencing mechanism that urban traffic impacts on urban spatial scale, urban spatial conformation and urban function location, secondly discusses the effect and influencing mechanism that urban internal spatial structure impacts on the layout of the urban traffic and urban traffic pattern; Chapter four studies problems that exist in the interaction of urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure in Xi'an; Chapter five analyzes their optimized orientation and puts forward some strategies and suggestions to harmonize the relationship of urban traffic and urban internal spatial structure. Chapter six summarizes some of the results obtained in this paper, points out the inadequacies of this paper and sums up the direction for future efforts. |
