Research On The Spatial Structure Restructuring Of Resource-Based City In Transition Period

Exogenous factors, like the region division of labor, the resources dynamic change, the remote location, and the region natural-economic-society background reasons, have molded the resource-based city's economy transition and spatial restructuring powerfully. The resource-based city has the single industrial structure, frail environment, is far away from the economic center. These disadvantageous factors hindered the development of resource-based city, and weakened the competitive power. Resource-based cities such as Tongchuan are puzzled by resources gradual depletion, the environmental deterioration, the sharp increase of unemployed population, even facing surviving crisis.Through reviewing researches of resource-based city, conformity the restructuring pattern of resource-based city spatial structure, putting forward a analysis frame of the forces of spatial restructuring, exploring the restructuring trend and feasible ways of space restructuring of resourc-based cities in social-economic transition period.On the base of summary of the characteristics of resource-based cities, the author established the relationship between spatial structure restructuring and economy transition of resource-based city. From the theory and the case, the author obtained the evolution tendency of the resource-based city spatial structure, the evolution pattern, summarized the influence factors which were impacted the spatial structure changes of resource-based cities from the development stage as well as the different influencing factors internal and external. And then, the author established a analysis frame, and the principles of spatial structure restructuring, practice and regulation ways. At last, the author pu forward a design proposal for spatial structure restructuring of Tongchuan city from a urban planning perspective.The main conclusions:(1) The city spatial structure is integrated reflection of the urban society-economy-environment development; In turn, the urban space's adjustment will also promote flows of population, economy factors, and will form new urban function area. The biggest significance of restructuring of resource-based city space, lies realizing the harmonious interactive relations between city transform, re-employment, ecological environmental protection and the spatial structure adjustment in transition period, which enhance the endogenous growth ability along with the space optimized. (2) The resource-based city spatial structure may divide into two fundamental modes:Single center and multi-centers. After the city enters the transition period, the spatial structure presents "the multi-centers" pattern generally. The spatial structure of resource-based cities have four major characteristics:disperses setting, the dual structure, the urban historical inheritance, particularly function. (3) The internal factors like environment, the historical foundation, the economic activity, the transportation and the population, the external factors like policy, the environment of competition, all will affect the spatial restructuring. There are two elementary ways for restructuring:the spatial restructuring demand under the control resources, the urban the spatial restructuring demand along with the transforms of leadership function of cites. (4) Tongchuan is facing the exhaustion of resources in the situation, wants to promote space restructuring by newly developed area. This kind of pattern suits the cites which in mountainous areas and depend on the resources completely. Based on this, the author propose different land policy for different zones, in order to promote the spatial structure optimization.
