ABSTRACT: In recent years, with the continuous expansion of city size, the urban population soaring and the vehicle fleet year after year,the travel demand of urban residents have also shown an unprecedented growth, so the traffic congestion in cities are common. In the short term, only by road infrastructure investment and construction could not completely solve the problem of traffic congestion,which is based on our urban traffic sustainable development strategy. Therefore, it is very necessary for easing traffic congestion to focus on how to take effective traffic management measure and make it fully play in governacing jams.This paper is mainly based on the concept of cooperative control in urban transport, select an intersection's traffic situation in Beijing as the studying background.Through the traffic flow condition in established in recent years the city more common traffic control method for the application of collaborative simulation to analyse and evaluate the effect of collaborative application of various means used on blocking, relevant conclusions can provide reference for relevant departments to formulate the decision to ease the traffic congestion.The main work includes:firstly, reviewing and summarizing the present situation of the research about the current urban traffic control system at home and abroad, and point out the meaning of studying our urban traffic coordilation control; Secondly, analyzed the problems and insufficiency in the present Beijing urban traffic system, and the reason of the traffic congestion,which is based on the existing road of Beijing network composition and the 8th area road traffic system's operation situation in nearly 2 years; Thirdly,discussed the more common taffic control way our cities used to ease traffic congestion and its application status,and selected six kinds of means as the research object about urban traffic control of collaborative in this paper, thus in view of the different traffic management goals designed a variaty of collaborative application solutions; Fourthly, through the actual investigation, and used the S-Paramics software to construct the simulation experiment platform in a situation of transport plane intersection,then do the simulation about coordination control programs in the established traffic flow condition, and do comparison and analysis about the travel speed, delay time and other transportation index in the experiment to evaluate the effect of governacing jams using diferent collaborative pragrams. Finally, through the observation of the operation condition of traffic in the simulation experiment,given the suggestions in collaborative application according to common urban traffic control method, so provided certain reference and the model theory for the development of Beijing urban traffic coordination control.
