Currently the energy crisis and environmental problem is increasingly protruding, so hybrid electric vehicle has become the subject of the automotive industry. But currently the rapid detection method of energy consumption of domestic hybrid vehicle is not deeply studied, and put a direct impact on energy consumption evaluation of hybrid vehicle.Based on the research status of foreign and domestic on energy consumption detection of hybrid vehicle, the paper describes the purpose and significance of rapid detection of energy consumption of hybrid vehicle. It also studies the work mode, energy flow mode and energy source of different types of hybrid vehicle. Based on the national standards GB/T 17954-2005 "test method of energy consumption in heavy-duty hybrid electric vehicle" and GB/T 17953-2005 "test method of energy consumption in light hybrid electric vehicle", the paper establishes the total energy consumption model of hybrid vehicle, and provides a theoretical support of correct evaluation on energy consumption for the hybrid vehicleBased on method of energy detection for hybrid cars, and emphasis on electricity consumption modeling and technical realization. The paper takes different approaches for the battery standing for a long time in the steady state and unsteady state,and establishes mathematical model for each state. Then it makes temperature correction for the models. The paper combines the resistance method and the open-circuit voltage method, according to the battery standing in the steady state, what is Resistance-open method. Then the paper test on initial and end of the battery's state of charge respectively. The paper takes resistance method for the battery standing in unsteady state.Then the paper realizes the test on electricity consumption of hybrid cars and obtains the mathematical model of electricity consumption under different conditions in hybrid vehicle.Based on the established testing model, a rapid detection device of energy consumption of Hybrid vehicle was designed, on which battery power consumption was tested and analyzed. Testing results showed that the developed detection device has good repeatability and consistency. Finally, based on the calculation model, power consumption value and fuel consumption value were chosen together as the energy consumption evaluation indexes.The paper establishes simulation model of hybrid vehicle and its constructed power drive assembly by SIMULINK. Put the model into ADVISOR simulation software, and make simulation test of detection results in a typical hybrid energy conditions. The result shows that the proposed scheme test method can meet the testing requirements, and has practical application. The paper gives feasible proposals on the current problems of energy detection method of Hybrid vehicle. It also provides a theoretical basis for the introduction of future testing standards and improvement of it, so it is important to optimize the control strategy and energy saving of hybrid electric vehicle.
