With the advancement of technology and the rapid development of power industry, Ultra-supercritical thermal power units which have large capacity, high parameters become the development direction of our country. However, with the nonlinear time-varying parameters,large time delay and other characteristics, it has great specificity compared with the sub-critical drum boiler. Therefore, the research on the coordinated control system of ultra-supercritical thermal power unit has the important influence to the safe operation of power plants and energy—aving. This paper analyzes the model, points out the features and control difficulties of coordinated control system and introduces a typical coordinated control system design of supercritical thermal power generating units. In order to better respond to the state grid "two rules" requirements, under the situation of frequently involved in large-scale units for the current frequency peaking and frequently changes in the coal quality, a rule-based intelligent control loop,coal quality disturbance free system and DDF are designed to improve the stability and robustness of the control system. Simulation results illustrate that these methods can improve the system disturbance free capability of system when the main parameters of the unit deviate from the normal range and can effectively prevent the unit trip. The designed system is realized by the Guodian Zhishen's EDPF NT+Distributed Control System, and is simulated and tested in Jiansu Jianbi's 1000MW simulator.
