The Unit Coordinated Control of coal-fired power plant is essential to the Automatic Generation Control (AGC). In order to get the fast load response characteristic and the stable main parameters that the power network dispatching center required, we must reconsider the existing Unit Coordinated Control schemes by analyzing the specialty of the coal fired power plant. In this paper, the mechanism and practical effect of existing coordinated control schemes are analyzed in detail, the advantage and drawback of the different coordinated control methods in practice are indicated clearly. This paper describes a fact that it is difficult to obtain rapid load response and stable main parameters at the same time by using the recent methods, underlines that Heat Release is the vital parameter that should be carefully controlled. Based on the comparison in various coordinated control plan, the article presents a new coordinated control scheme that shows satisfying maneuverability and stability in a simulation software test in which the control effect compared between new scheme and recent schemes...
