Directly relating to whether protective relaying equipments can move quickly and reliably or not, the power plant relay protection setting calculation protects the safe operation of power plants. The power plant relay protection setting calculation is much professional and refers to kinds of equipments cooperating complexly, which leads to the caculation being more trivial and asking for professional workers. Therefore, it is much necessary to develope the power plant relay protection setting calculation system which can be used in the actual situation to share heavy calculation work. As the man-machine interaction platform of the relay protection setting calculation system, Integration of Graph, Model and Database Tool can offer flexibly convenient and fast drawing tools and establish calculation models automatically. Whether it has perfect fuctions directly determines practicability and intellectuality of the relay protection setting calculation system.In order to reduce manual operation of drawing and modeling and improve its intelligence, the Integration of Graph, Model and Database Tool is developed with primitive modeling, template modeling, and external pattern recognition modeling, which has perfect drawing tools and simplifies manual work by auto focusing and colouring. Generally, power plants are designed as typical wiring ways, so it is possible to develop template modeling based on primitive modeling, including typical power plant design template modeling and text description modeling, reducing manual work more. Furthermore, considering circuit diagrams using in relay protection setting calculation are drawn by design departments with AutoCAD, building a data junction between the Integration of Graph, Model and Database Tool and AutoCAD offering an open interactive file in DXF, to realize external graphic recognition modeling based on files in DXF. This automatic way avoids workers of redrawing and reflects the integration and intelligence of the Integration of Graph, Model and Database Tool well, which helps the relay protection setting calculation system to realize "drawing-modeling-caculating" by one key meanwhile.
