The Research About Relay Protection Fundamentals And Its Setting For Power Plant

A universal protective relaying setting calculation and device management system forpower plant is improved on function for the problem of universal property caused by differentnames and setting methods of the same protection principle from different manufacturers. Inorder to meet the requirement of the relay protection setting software on site,thispaper combined Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 improved this system on the basis ofthe practical situation of power plant. After the improvement, users can add and modify theinformation of the protecting equipment and setting formula during the setting process, checkthe sensitivity of the fixed values for increasing the reliability, and back up the databases. Thispaper improved the function of the graph-editing modular, setting calculation modular,fault analysis modular and fixed value management modular, and increased the universalproperty and practicability of the system.
