The exergy analysis is based on the Second Law of Thermodynamics, as an amelioration of thermal balance analysis which based on the law of conservation of energy. It could reveal nuclear power plant thermal economy status from a qualitative point of view fully and deeply. With the exergy analysis as the basis,900MW PWR Units for the analysis of the object, after a detailed theoretical derivation, this paper establishes the common exergy matrix equations, simplifies the process of thermal economic analysis. After plotting out the major systems and equipments from PWR units, this paper calculates technical indicators as balance of energy flow, system thermal efficiency, exergy loss etc. And then analyses exergy loss distribution and the reasons, makes engineering explanation of the calculation results, validates the correctness and universality of the mathematical models, find out exergy transfer and loss rule of 900MW PWR Units, draw out the exergy flow diagram, find out weak tache, lays the theoretical foundation and points out that direction for the economic operation and energy saving of nuclear power units.
