It absorbs more and more attention on energy with the coming of low-carbon economy era, power industry is particularly important for energy conservation. This article focuses on the perspective of economic analysis of differences between directly air-cooling and wet-cooling units, elaborates how the different thermal systems affect the units'economy. The differences of structure and thermal economy are obtained through comparing the structures and the major economic indicators about different cooling ways of units. Based on Constant flow-based approach, this article reaches relative internal efficiency of units affected by heater deviation, heat loss and extraction steam pressure loss by the Matlab programming, and provides theoretical basis for thermal systems and thermal equipments'operation, maintenance and renovation in order to achieve energy saving. In view of the significant differences between directly air-cooling and wet-cooling units on the economic front, the compensation for the direct air-cooling units can be realized combined with social benefits.By units'coal consumption calculation of different operating points, fitting of units'standard coal consumption and coal consumption curve produced by Matlab, analysis on different cooling characteristics of the units'coal consumption, and comparison of combined units operating points'coal consumption curve are conducted. The units'coal consumption curve and the differential curve could be reached under the condition of equal incremental. Besides, this paper determines the unit's optimal parameters and constant pressure-sliding pressure- constant pressure way of operation through calculating different operating points'coal consumption of constant pressure and sliding pressure operation. The effects of variation of cold-side on units'stability and economy are determined by discussing the influencing factors of condenser such as vacuum tightness, condenser terminal temperature difference, vacuum and wind effect of air-cooling units. The economics and security of the cold-side are insured by optimizing the design process, improving the installation process and relying on the reasonable operation, which are connected with the characters of units.
