According to the experimental demand,0.3MW pulverized coal test bed is completely designed in this paper. The main body of this bed consists of putting up the boiler furnace, designing and manufacturing swirl burner, etc. and some auxiliary machines including heat exchanger design and processing, air preheater, wind and smoke system, fuel system, and cooling water system are also processed. In addition, we exploit a set of online combustion monitoring system, in which PLC and real-time operating mechanism jointly install, with kingview software supporting to achieve online combustion monitoring. Based on the real-time values of temperature, pressure and other parameters, we can automatic regulate and control air volume, fuel supply, and recycling water. By which can remotely control boiler and its auxiliary equipment also.For biomass fuels co-firing, we should master the optimal control structure of swirl burner and the corresponding range of its operating parameters. After determining the design of burners, develop the prototype swirl burner used in experiment. In fact, there manufactured three types of burners, traditional swirl burner, new swirl burner, and swirl burner in SHI LI QUAN power plant in SHAN DONG province respectively. Standing on the pulverized coal combustion, flue gas analysis data and the furnace parameters, we compare our swirl burner with swirl burner in SHI LI QUAN power plant. Carry on Multiple contrastive experiments based the two burners stated above; calculate their different combustion efficiency in furnace, CO, Nox gas emissions and unburned carbon in flue dust. After that, contrast with the current biomass burner in power plant. We optimize biomass swirl burner mainly from reducing pollution gas emission, steady combustion mechanism. Ultimately, we can resolve a key problem of direct co-firing biomass.
