The thesis introduced the application of multiphase pump in the oil-field as well asits research state and development tendency. The hydraulic design of the rotating andstatic impeller of the multiphase pump had completed on the theory of axial-flowpump and compressor. The three dimensional model of the single compressing stageof the multiphase pump has been established in the software UG, the calculation areadiscredited in the software ICEM, the numerical simulation carried out in the softwareFLUENT, the results dealt in the software Tec plot and Origin, the inner pressure field,velocity field and phase distribution obtained, and the performance curves of thesingle compressor drafted. Through the analysis of the distribution of the velocity, thestatic pressure, the total pressure, the flow situation in the impellers could be obtained.The design was improved on such basis. This design reduced the chord angle on therim of the rotating impeller, increased the chord length of the rotating impeller,NACA 4412 aviation airfoils is used in the static impeller. The separation of thedifferent phases and the vortex was reduced, and the pump efficiency enhanced. thenumerical calculation showed that the high-efficiency area of the multiphase pumpbecame wider, better adapted to conditions of higher gas rate, the performance of thewhole unit significantly improved, and the case could be a beneficial reference forfuture designing.
