Wind energy, as a type of clean renewable energy, gets more and more people's attention, so world countries strengthen the study of wind power generation technology. It is difficult to provide actual wind field environment and wind machine equipment in laboratory environment because of wind's fickle particularity. The purpose of this thesis is to build a set of wind turbine simulator (WTS) in lab environment to simulate torque characteristics,which provides an effective assistant method in wind power generation research in laboratory and has a great practical significance.A design scheme of wind turbine simulator has been proposed in this thesis proposal. The aerodynamic characteristics and simulation method of wind turbine are studied firstly. An man-machine interface of monitoring system and the wind turbine simulator have been developed by LabVIEW and vector control technology has been applied to control asynchronous motor to drive the generator output power according to the torque reference from PC monitoring system so as to simulate the operation process of wind power generation. The hardware and software of the wind turbine simulator were designed by using TMS320F2812 DSP-ASIC as the control core. The hardware is composed of DSP control circuit, measurement circuit, rectifier bridge circuit, three-phase inverter circuit, driver circuit, buffer absorbing circuit, filter circuit, and power circuit, etc. The software is written by C language,which include initialization program, main program and interrupt service routines. Laboratory tests show that system function is achieved the design requirements.
