Thoughts On The Integration Of Poetry, Painting And Gardening

This paper studies and summarizes the background and forming and developing process of the integration of poem, painting and gardening, and then generalizes some theories relevant to that integration. The paper takes the history of landscape gardening in China and England during the 18th century as example, making contrast and comparison between the influence and significance brought about by the integration. The main points are based on the effect of the poem and painting producing on gardening, and also that given by gardening.
