A Research On Landscape Design And Application Of Lingnan Plants

Plants landscape plays an important social and ecological roles in urban and rural environmental. There are different geographical environment and customs of different regions to form their own characteristics of plants, so the requirements of plants landscape design are also different. Different plants landscape also reflects the different cultural connotations, whether from the view of the using function or aesthetic art that the plants landscape design should not be simply "plant trees". Lingnan has abundant plant species and distinctive culture. However, in the current, the plants landscape in Lingnan's greenland system is similar with other regions' in the space level, variety, color, style and so on. And, it cann't to express the ecological characteristics and geographical characteristics that Lingnan should be properly.In this paper, the object of study is Lingnan's plants landscape. Then, we integrate landscape design, art aesthetic, ecological theory, landscape dendrology, urban planning and design, environmental psychology and other disciplines and principles to discuss the correct ways of plants landscape design which can reflect Lingnan characteristics. And the purpose of the study is in order to provide reference and guidelines for the plants landscape designing in Lingnan's urban and rural environment. Around this purpose, the paper includes the following aspects:At first, Defined the concept of landscape plants Lingnan, summarized the current situation's characteristics of Lingnan's plants landscape, proposed some problems in landscape design with Lingnan's plants,and, analyzed the issues of introduction and biological invasion. On these bases, discussed the design essentials of Lingnan's plants landscape combined with the plants landscape's aesthetic and ecological attributes. And then, investigated and studied some plant species in Lingnan which are applied in landscape commonly as well as how to applying them. At last, discussed the ways to create plants landscape which has strong Lingnan style and features from the aspects of configuration's forms and principles with specific examples.
