Dissociated methanol gas engine is an efficient, energy-saving, environment-friendly, green engine. Stepper motor power valve is a key impact on its performance parts. Adjusting the position of the valve spool of stepper motor power valve could change the gas channel cross-sectional area, which could adjust the flow rate of the gas to control the rate of the mixture that comes into the dissociated methanol gas engine with a higher economy. Vibration, noise, short life and low precision exist in the work course of the Stepper motor power valve. These shortcomings seriously affected the performance of dissociated methanol gas engine.Based on the investigation of drive technology of stepping motor power valve and theory analysis and calculation, designed the subdivided controller of the stepping motor power valve on the basis of sine current subdivision and it separate-excited current tracking mode pulse width modulation technology to overcome the shortcomings mentioned above , mainly including the design of hardware circuit,PI current control strategy,,software. Lastly, performance test of the subdivided controller is executed. The experimental results show that the designed subdivided controller of the stepper motor power valve can significantly reduce the vibration and noise during in the work process of the stepper motor valve, effectively extending the life of the stepper motor power valve; above all, the precision of its control increased by 16 times. The performance of the subdivided controller perfectly meets our intended target. The subdivided controller provides the technical foundation to further improve the performance of the dissociated methanol gas engine.
