2-phase hybrid stepping motor has widely used in mechanical-electrical field because of its simple structure and low cost. The performance of stepping motor depends on its driving method largely. With use of subdivided driving technology, the resolution and stability of motor can be improved, and the systemic run-performance gets better. So. the study and design of 2-phase hybrid stepping motor systems have important theory significance and practical value. In the paper, the principle of stepping motor and subdivided driving are analyzed firstly. Sine/cosine wave is confirmed as suitable current wave for subdivided driving. The study of the pullout characteristic and vibration problem indicated that motor has good pullout characteristic and the vibration in the low-frequency region can be restrained for the using of subdivided driving, and controlling the current wave accurately can reduce the vibration in the intermediate-frequency region. Then the different driving projects are compared. And the driving methods about tracking current control are studied chiefly. Learning from the current lagging-loop control and invariable switch frequency control, frequency-fixing PWM driving method is put forward. This method solves the problem of non-complete current sampling wave. Base on the project, the main circuit and control circuit of 2-phase hybrid stepping motor systems are designed. The system can realize many functions such as fix-frequency pulse width modulation, current sampling, power magnifying, ringdistribution, producing control signal, and so on. The disposal of reference wave is discussed in the course. The control methods in the subdivided driving are also studied concretely. After anahze the quick-current reflowing and the slow-current reflowing control methods, a new method named mixed-current reflowing control is presented which can reduce the current fluctuating in ascend period and avoid the current distortion when current descending. Its effectiveness is verified through simulation.
