Ash field is to solve the problem of fly ash storage, protecting the environment and construction. Ash Field Ash Dam is the main building, is also an important part of thermal power plants. Recent years, with the growing number of thermal power plants and the increasing expansion of the scale, along with ash dam technology has become more sophisticated. Or is the use of fly ash dam heightening fly ash dam, with investment, quick returns, significant economic benefits characteristic of ash dam construction has become a new trend. However, the current technology is still in an ash dam engineering practice ahead of the state of design theory, and some technical problems in the theory can not give a satisfactory explanation. For example, superposition of filling stage the stability of the ash dam, seepage state of the sub-dam construction in the direct deposition of ash, the ash dam safety how to, sub-dam foundation is required to do a special foundation treatment. In this paper, four power plants in Handan gray matou field heightening project, for example, on the ash dam heightening project of the dam material, the physical properties of ash deposition and dam seepage and static and dynamic stability of the dam thematic studies.The main contents of this paper and results are as follows:(1) conducted a more comprehensive geological characteristics of ash dam project evaluation, made for Ash Seepage and stability analysis of a typical engineering geological profile; (2) the use of Seepage hydraulics theory, took the child under water retaining dam of different transient seepage Ash Dam. Analysis showed that:the main and sub-saturation line elevation lasted retaining dam, the dam material permeability and drainage facilities about. (3) During the obtained sub-retaining dam, the length of dry beach, fly ash permeability, anisotropic penneability on the saturation line were investigated. (4) Application of the Study of Sweden and the Bishop method of dam in the typical conditions for the stability of checking. The theoretical analysis and experimental results on the actual dam construction in the water body in the form of ash, and the slope rate of the selected location has certain reference value.
