As a new type of bridge structure, self-anchored suspension and cable-stayed bridge has the merits of traditional cable-supported bridges. Owing to huge anchorage being canceled, this type of bridge structure becomes outstanding superior in soft soil base and strong wind areas. At present, there is little related research on self-anchored suspension and cable-stayed bridge at home and abroad. While because this type of bridge structure has its unique advantages in some special conditions, it is necessary to develop systematic research on it. Combining the super major bridge in HanZhong, this paper focuses on calculating method for the reasonable finished dead state of the self-anchored suspension and cable-stayed bridge and analysis on structural parameter. The research work mainly covers the following aspects:(1) Because self-anchored suspension and cable-stayed bridge is different from traditional cable-supported bridges, the reasonable result couldn't be got according to the present available calculating methods for reasonable finished dead state of cable-stayed bridges and suspension bridges. Based on this principle and geometric nonlinear calculation, the step-by-step calculating method for the reasonable finished state of the self-anchored suspension and cable-stayed bridge is proposed on the basis of some available methods, and point out the main points which should be noticed.(2) Considered the randomness in material properties, physical dimensions and other parameters of structural elements, the given parameters s is utilized to analyze the reaction of self-anchored suspension and cable-stayed bridge. The result shows that the parameter of rise-span ratio have a great effect on the reasonable finished dead state of cable-stayed bridges and suspension bridges.
