Because of its beautiful appearance,good stress form and the advantage of not under the constraints of geological conditions,the self-anchored suspension bridge has received more and more attention in engineering field.However,it's important and difficult to research how to determine its reasonable finished dead state and system conversion scheme because of the special reasonable finished dead state calculation method and construction sequence.The purpose of this paper is to obtain a calculation of the self-anchored suspension bridge's reasonable finished dead state,and to summarize the methods and steps of how to determine the system conversion of self-anchored suspension bridge,as long as to determine the system conversion of the example bridge.Firstly this paper quoted three methods for calculating the main cable shape of suspension bridge:parabola method,segmental catenary method and section line method,and programed them according to the algorithm.Secondly,the calculation method of the reasonable finished dead state based on the influence matrix was improved and applied in the self-anchored suspension bridge innovatively.Then in order to prove the applicability and accuracy of the calculation method,Xiaolongwan Bridge was taken as an example.At last system conversion of self-anchored suspension bridges was researched,and the way to determin the hanger tension scheme was detailed with the same example.The feasible tensioning schemes were put forward and the best one was chosen to apply to practical construction according to the merits and demerits of each scheme and field conditions.The results showed that the parabola method was more accurate than the section line method;the calculation method of reasonable finished dead state had high applicability and accuracy;the sling tension scheme determined was effectively to make the example bridge smoothly convert to reasonable finished dead state.Thus,for the main cable shape,reasonable finished dead state and system conversion scheme of a self-anchored suspension bridge like the example,a mature set of calculation process was obtained.And a new calculation method of reasonable finished dead state was put forward.The way of hanger tension scheme provides a reference for similar engineering.
