In this paper, the author have done in-depth research to the current situation of domestic and foreign meteorological data acquisition equipment and the application of virtual instrument technology at home and abroad.In view of the complex design and installation of the automatic weather station, the high operation and maintenance cost and the poor mobile ability, developed a portable meteorological data acquisition system based on LabVIEW.The system is open, flexible and high cost performance, can meet the needs of small area’s meteorological data collection, have certain realistic meaning and popularization value.The main contents of this paper include:STM32 MCU is the core of data acquisition terminal, Through GPRS module to realize wireless communication between upper machine and lower machine, Vaisala WXT520 meteorological transmitter is meteorological data acquisition device, the design realized the acquisition and transmission of six kinds of meteorological data,such as the temperature, relative humidity, wind direction, wind speed, air pressure, rainfall.Based on the LabVIEW software design the PC virtual instrument system.The system consists of the main interface, data acquisition interface, transmitter monitoring interface and file open interface. The main interface includes three parallel modules of time module, system help module and software module;Data acquisition interface can display real-time weather information collected by Transmitter WXT520;Transmitter monitoring interface can display the supervisory information collected by Transmitter WXT520 in time, it has the alarm function and the function of the distributed control command, has realized the remote monitoring of transmitter;The user may be retained by file open interface to view historical data in the folder.In order to improve the accuracy and reliability of communication between the single chip and upper machine, a communication protocol is designed by adding the starting marks and end marks to data frame and command frame.According to the communication protocol,designed a communication program for single chip and PC.The design of the system is from two aspects that are hardware and software.What the design serve include the data collection processing display save, and historical information query.
