Subgrade cantilever-anchor retaining is a new type retaining structure. The proposal and research of this new type structure not only has high value of theoretical exploration, but also has wide practical application prospect. The proposal of cantilever-anchor retaining was the result of joint action of the development of design theory of retaining at home and abroad and the demand of reality. There are several main contents in this study.(1) This paper relatively comprehensive provide a design methods of cantilever-anchor retaining, including the calculation of initiative soil pressure, the determination of sectional dimensions of wall body, the stability checking of wall body and reinforcement design of wall body etc. on the basis of the traditional theories and methods of retaining wall design.(2) On the basis of the research output at home and abroad, this research summarize the calculation method of failure mechanism and allow pulling force resistance of anchor plate; provide the calculation method of gross and single area of anchor plate; analyze the reinforcement design method of anchor plate.(3) This study has a detailed narration on the basic principle and analytical method of Kranz method and the line rupture surface method, Fully take into account cantilever-anchor retaining cantilever retaining wall and anchor retaining in the structural similarities and differences. When using the line rupture surface method analysis, we analyze the stability of each layer anchor plate, and checking the stability of the whole structure, to ensure that the wall is stable in local and global. When using the Kranz method analysis, should divided cantilever-anchor into two parts. When the two are met, we can ensure the stability of retaining wall.
