The Method Of Public Transit Planning On Integrated Urban Area

ABSTRACT:At the macro level of a country, "public transit development is in priority of all" tends to be a part of the strategies for development transit. However, along with the smooth progress on integrated urban area, some cities have obvious superior location in urban group, but economic growth is limited to move further at a certain extent by backward in public transit. Hence, it is crucial to better plan its urban public transit to meet its economy and passengers'trips. As the result, on the ground of integrated urban area, here is another important concern that is how to build up a proper public transit system layout on integrated urban area. This paper is to evaluate the ways to layout the city's public transit terminal and network on the ground of above.This paper firstly summarizes the optimization methods, and base on that, urban public transit planning is analyzed by city position and integrated passenger transportation on integrated urban area. The changing of urban land use and its functional layout are taking as the basis to introduce the coefficient of location superiority degree in order to modify the traditional demand forecast model. And based on the dissagregate logit model, the layout of transit OD distribution as the basis of transit terminal and network planning is put forward. The position of public transit on integrated urban area is analysed. The transit terminal project will be finalized after qualitatively positioning public transit terminal and alternative extents by building up Bi-level programming models. The model with the objects of shortest distance of passengers'trips and least cost of construction gets the result by using genetic algorithms.According to different position of public transit network, trunk routes, arterial routes, compressive routes and feeder routes are proposed. The final network is based on objects of different hierarchies of public transit network and qualitative methods. Finally, as the example, for Langfang, one of the cities of integrated Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, study is conducted for the method.
