| We shoud give priority to the development of public transport which is not only helpful to improve transit service levels, enhance the attractiveness of bus and travel more conveniently of residents in Urumqi but also to ensure the sustainable development of transport systems. In order to better tap the potential of public transport in Urumqi city, a reasonable evaluation system of the public transportation network is developed, appropriate evaluation methods is used, existing public transportation network is evaluated to provide support for government decision-making, which could effectively improve transport efficiency, reduce environmental pollution, and supply residents with quick and easy, safe and efficient, economic and comfortable transportation.In this paper, based on the theory of public transport planning, the theory of system science, traffic engineering principles and the unascertained measure theory and other scientific theories and current characteristics of Urumqi City public transportation network, previous theoretical studies combined with characteristics and the road traffic situation of Urumqi City, the characteristics of Urumqi residents travel is analysized, bus travel characteristics of residents and public transportation network characteristics, and on this basis, the public transportation network of Urumqi, the evaluation criteria, evaluation indices, evaluation methods and other aspects are discussed in detail, and the specific improvements are proposed.The main contents include:1. According to residents travel OD survey in Urumqi, transit hub site investigation and numbers of passengers up and down and the transport characteristics of the residents travel inquiry findings, the characteristics of Urumqi residents bus travel and the main issue are comprehensively grasped of and bus Urumqi;2. Based on structural features of line network, operating efficient of, social benefits and development goals, the status quo of Urumqi public transportation network is studied, on this basis, AHP and entropy methods are used to determine the weight, unascertained measure theory method is used to evaluate the bus public line network;3. Urumqi development strategy and goals are studied according to the comprehensive evaluation results of public transportation network in Urumqi. Based on the adjustmet of the original lines and the increasement of new lines, the public transportation network structure is improved to create a more rational line network and to improve operational efficiency;4. Stduied Urumqi Bus rapid transit system based on the poerated BRT1 and BRT3 lines. |
