| Trip OD survey is a personal trip's origin and destination survey in a particular area with the purpose of analyze the flow of individual trips and provide scientific foundation for travel forecast. OD survey can provide technical support for current traffic management and analysis and provide technical support for future transport planning and management.Classic personal trip OD surveys method include paper diaries or telephone interviews method provide rather inaccuracy spatial and temporal information.They can not avoid under-reporting of trips and can not provide trip routes.The quality of classic surveys with a high burden and a high rate of refused rely much on questionnaire and investigators.This paper studies obtaining households'spatial and temporal information through volunteers who carried the wearable GPS devices based on GPS technology. A software is developed to process the data gained by GPS survey, include data filtering, trip identification, track visualization.Considering the GPS data features of trips and stops, trip identification use a method which combines the stop points method and the stationary interval method. Set criterias on split trips on the basis of analysis of GPS data. A method is proposed to detect travel mode based on fuzzy methods and trajectories characteristics' study with trip distance, travel speed and travel speed distribution as inputs. Walking, cycling and motor vehicle travel ways can be identified.A comparation is made beteen the results which processed by the software with the GPS survey diary to mearsures the effect of the method. The software and the method of processing GPS data was validated effective through the GPS survey data. |
