As a kind of clean renewable energy utilization, wind power has experienced rapid development in recent years around the world. Variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) wind turbine has become the mainstream of the field of wind power research for its exclusive advantages. This paper focuses on the electric control system and lighting protection system of the double-fed wind turbine as well as the design of physical experiment system of wind power.First of all, the paper introduces the working principle and operation process of double-fed wind turbine. Then the thesis subsequently proposes the electrical control system general requirements, structure and function of it. Based on this request and the function, each part of the electronic control system is designed in detail also the hardware and software program of the system is given clearly, which including the design of power distribution of wind power, the design electric control of the master system of tower bottom and nacelle, the design of electric control of pitch control system, the design of electric control of converter system and the design of wind turbine supervisory control system. Secondly the lightening protection of wind turbine is analyzed in particular. Furthermore dividing the lightening protection area of wind turbine, carrying out corresponding measures which is involved with the mechanical parts and the electric control parts of wind turbine and describing the grouding technoloy of wind turbine.Finally considering the special nature of wind enery, the actually wind power equipment can not be installed in the laboratory. For this reason, under the laboratory environment, the physical experiment system of wind power is developed. So does the specific design of the hardware. The simulate function of wind turbine performance is initially realized which lays the foundation of VSCF wind power generation development.
