Along with the development of the economic globalization, the competition between the container terminals is becoming more and more worse. This kind of competition not only includes the competition among the Chinese container terminals but also includes the competition between Chinese ports and foreign ports, so the Chinese container terminals are facing great pressure of competition. If the container terminals want to survive in the competition, in addition to rely on the dock's geographical condition and hinterland, the docks must improve their economic and operation efficiency, strive to improve the management level of dock, improve their resource utilization rate, and reduce operational costs. The container terminal should shorten berthing ships handling time as far as possible, improve the service quality and efficiency, and coordinate the whole dock operation system. Then the experts and scholars pay more and more attention to the path optimization of container trucks. The path optimization of container trucks is a NP-hard problem. Although many scholars have done a lot of research about this problem, because of the complexity of the problem itself, they have not got effective method to solve this problem. So it has the extremely vital significance to research how to effectively solve this problem.Considering the problem in existing studies, we study this problem from two aspects. One aspect is establishing container truck scheduling model. The paper studies the problem which bases on "work side" container truck model, and considers the coordination between container trucks,quayside container crane and yard container crane. The purpose is to shorten the container loading and unloading time, improve the efficiency of the terminal operation.; Another aspect is because there are many complicated constraint conditions in this problem and their complex relations, the paper uses Natural Constraint Language(NCL) which bases on mathematical logic to describe the constraint conditions and their relations clearly. This paper deeply studies the operation process of container terminal and analyses the present container truck scheduling model, and contrasts the two models. Basising on the analysis, this paper establishes container truck scheduling model, then trun it into NCL model. At last we test the NCL model throngh a numberical example, and analyses whether the NCL model is suitable for sovling container truck scheduling problem.
