In recent years, as the problem of environmental pollution and resource shortages growing seriously,many countries begin to develop new energy to solve the problem. Tidal power is a kind of renewable and pollution-free energy. There are many advantages to use tidal power to generate electricity. So more and more countries are actively building tidal power stations to solve the problem of power resource shortages. Nowadays, one-reservoir-one-way and one-reservoir -two-way are the mainly two development models of tidal plant construction. But there are many limitations in the development model of single reservoir. This article proposes a new development model called AB double reservoirs. This development model has broken the limitation of traditional single-reservoir development model. It not only can reduce the construction cost of tidal power station,but also can effectively control the power plant. In addition, this model can expand the developmental scope of tidal resources, drive comprehensive utilization of shallow sea resources effectively and develop the secondary industry.Firstly, this paper discusses the research status and development trend of domestic and abroad based on the research background of tidal power stations scheduling technique. It expounds the basic principle and related technique of tidal power station scheduling. And it gives detailed analysis and confirmation about the theory of the tides. Through analyzing the theory, this paper demonstrates a kind of tide calculation method: tides harmonic analysis method. On the basis, it analyzes the new AB reservoir tidal power station scheduling system and researches the tidal regime of Dandong area using Gaussian decomposition, and then designs a reservoir construction model. Finally, the paper designs a whole scheduling algorithm. Based on the analysis of power plant scheduling system, the paper designs a self-adaptive scheduling system of AB reservoir power station combining its layout and operating characteristics, and it shows the detailed calculation methods of each operating condition. The system adds regulation function of pumping station and gives a calculation method of power generation. Through the design of the power station scheduling system, the power plant can realize uninterrupted power generation in 24 hours.Finally, according to specific data, the paper verifies the feasibility of the scheduling system. And it uses the MATLAB software which has powerful computation ability to simplify the calculation. The paper gives the calculation results of each operation condition. Through the calculation, the results show that the self-adaptive scheduling system of power station can provide continuous power and satisfy the requirements of power network load.
